![]() ![]() Bake the okra for 15 to 20 minutes, or until it is light golden brown and crispy. Place the okra on a large nonstick baking sheet. Heat half an inch of oil, about 2 cups, in cast iron skillet over medium heat. Drain the okra and toss in cornmeal mixture. Cook at 400 for 12 minutes, turning the okra. Spray the okra all over with cooking spray. 3 Transfer the breaded okra to an air fryer basket sprayed with nonstick cooking spray and space evenly. Seal the bag, and shake to coat the okra. In another large flat bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, garlic, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, parsley, and salt. 2 Using a slotted spoon to let the egg mixture drain away, add the okra to the cornmeal mixture.
